Tandoor Fine Indian Cuisine - March 27

Indian Restaurant
8453 Cooper Creek Blvd (University Pkwy), University Park, FL 34201
Tandoor has been one of my favorite restaurants. They used to be located down by Clark/Beneva and so Ashley's delivery would deliver them. When they moved up to University we no longer could savor and enjoy the spicy goodness.

We finally decided to visit the actual restaurant for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised by the decor as we were seated and promptly attended to. We started with some good wines while we browsed the menu. I think the waiter was a little shocked when we order two entrees each, but we wanted the full experience!

Here are some of my thoughts on the food. Chicken Tikka Masala is composed of awesome boneless breasts of chicken in a rich creamy sauce. One of my personal favorites. The Dal Makhini, I like to call this brown and this is great to dip the naan with. I have had better elsewhere and prefer the yellow version called Dal Tadka. All comes with basmati rice.

Oh and the naan, it is perfectly fluffy! I am not a fan of greasy naan that is flat, but this kind is nice, fluffy and warm. No indian meal is complete without some paneer cheese. Saag Paneer is always a great choice and it goes really well with the rice and also mixed with vegetables. We ended with Gulab Jamun, which are there yummy donut balls in a sweet rose syrup. And you will come home with leftovers that heat up even better the next day!

The staff was great and overall a great experience! I would give this four paws and a tail wag because this is by far my #1 place for Indian food.
